‘Unsafe raft’ spotted on the River Ouse in York

Firefighters were called out to reports of an unsafe raft on the river in York.

They got the call at 6.04pm to the Ouse close to Water End.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews attended and gave advice to the responsible person.

“No people were in the water.”
