Two women have been sexually assaulted on the same York street within two days of each other.
Police are exploring whether the attacks are linked.
Both took place in the area around North Street near to the Park Inn hotel.
One woman was sexually assaulted after leaving a city centre nightclub in the early hours of Thursday (July 13).
Detectives are still investigating the exact circumstances of events surrounding the incident including the precise location of the attack.
They are urging anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch if they saw anything that may help the investigation.
In a second incident, a woman was sexually assaulted as she walked along the riverside path between Bridge Street and the Park Inn.
She ran off following the incident, which happened between 12.30 to 12.45am on Saturday (July 15).
