Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a lorry in York today (Tuesday).
The collision involved an HGV and a Kia Soul on Water End at about 11.45am.
The two people who were taken to hospital were in the Kia.
Crash location
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The crew from Acomb attended a road traffic collision between a lorry and a car.
“The fire service administered first aid to the occupants of the car until the ambulance crew arrived, and then firefighters cleared up a resultant fuel spill.”
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed for a number of hours while we investigated the scene and to allow for the vehicles involved to be recovered.
“We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to it, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.”
