Two new pop-up shops have opened in York for the festive season.
If you’re thinking about starting your Christmas shopping – or are looking to treat yourself! – there are two new pop up shops in the city centre to check out.
The first is a fashion retailer that is offering discounted clothing.
The retailer has opened in the Coppergate Centre in what used to be Topshop. Topshop closed in 2021 after its parent company Arcadia fell into administration. The unit has remained closed since then.
The pop-up store will be remain open until after Christmas. It features discounted womenswear with styles including jackets, dresses, tops, co-ords, and accessories.
The second pop-up store is the Shambles Christmas Pop Up Shop on Newgate.
It has opened it what was the Timpson locksmith and shoe repair shop, which closed in September this year.
Situated opposite the Shambles Market and featuring a variety of gift products from independent Yorkshire-makers – this could be the perfect place to find a Christmas pressie for a special person in your life.
The gift shop features products from Yorkshire makers such as Bullion Chocolate, The Yorkshire Candle Company, Luke Horton Art, and Abbey Perfumery.
The Shambles Christmas Pop Up Shop is open in York for the Christmas period.
And it’s been having a great response so far. “People have been loving the candles – especially the gingerbread ones,” said Alessia Azeta at the Shambles Christmas Pop Up Shop. “The most popular ones right now are the candles and diffusers.”
