A cyclist crashed off his electric bike – and the two men who came to his aid then stole it from him.
It happened on Water End, York, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday 23 February.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The incident involved a young man who fell from his black and red Carrera Vengeance bike sustaining serious injuries for which he received medical treatment at hospital.

“Two unknown men assisted the injured man to his feet before stealing his electric bike. They were last seen heading towards York city centre.
“We’re appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen anyone matching the suspect’s description in possession of the bike in the local area.”
One of the suspects is
- white
- aged in his early 20s
- wearing a white hooded top with an unknown logo
- and black jogging bottoms.
He was accompanied by another white man.
It is believed the pair may have stopped and spoken with two other men on Water End before leaving the area.
