Two men accused of raping a young woman in York city centre have denied the allegation.
Fahim Khan, 18, and Zaid Zahir, 20, appeared at York Crown Court via video link today each charged with one count of rape.
Mr Khan and Mr Zahir, who are former students, were arrested following an incident in the early hours of Wednesday, 28 August.
Following the incident, police put two cordons in place while examining the scenes.
One sealed off the riverside walkway next to the Coppergate Centre and the other taped off an area in North Street Gardens.
Mr Khan, of Thorpe Lane, Cawood, and Mr Zahir, of Rosebery Street, York, will face trial on 17 February next year. It is expected to last four days.
