Four people have been arrested following the murder of a man in York on Saturday.
The victim, aged in his 20s and from Bradford, was one of three people found with injuries at the Diamond Villas guest house on Vyner Street, off Haxby Road that night.
He died later in hospital.
Detectives from North Yorkshire Police’s Major Incident Team are leading the investigation which has resulted in four arrests.
A man in his 20s and a man in his 30s, both from the York area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A woman in her 30s and a man in his 60s have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They are in custody as the investigation continues.
A large police presence remains in the area. While the initial cordon has been lifted, a police guard remains in place on Vyner Street remains in place today.
Detective Superintendent Fran Naughton, who is leading the investigation, said: “This has been a fast-moving investigation with teams working around the clock, resulting in four arrests within just over 24 hours of the incident taking place.
“We know how worrying incidents like this can be for people who live and work in the area and as part of our response we have extra patrols in the area to support the community.

Police were called to the address at 7.20pm on Saturday.
A second man and a woman were also injured in the incident.
The other man was taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition.
