Two in hospital after a car smashed into a stone wall in the Dales

Two people were taken to hospital after their car left the road and smashed into a stone wall.

Fire crews from Masham and Leyburn were called to Middleham at 11pm on Saturday night.

Two women, both in theirs 20s, were freed and taken to hospital by road ambulance with facial, hip and leg injuries.

A Hydraulic cutter and a spreader plus stabilisation equipment were used to get them out.
