Fire crews were called out twice last night to separate fires started in an area of York woodland.
Firefighters from Acomb were first called out to the area, off Grange Lane, at 6.53pm.
They used backpack sprayers to put out a small fire, which they say was started by youths.

Then at 10.32pm, fire crews were called back to the woodland.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A small fire was located approx 400m away from the earlier fire. This was extinguished using buckets of water.”
Earlier, at 7.11pm, a Haxby fire crew responded to a fire in some woodland, which they extinguished using beaters.
