Police have attended two crashes on North Yorkshire’s busy roads today (Saturday).
The first, at around 10.30am, was on the High Street at Potter Brompton, close to the A64.
The road was completely blocked, and motorists were being diverted away from the area.
Then, at 1.50pm, emergency services responded to a collision on the A169 Pickering to Whitby Road, near the Hole of Horcum.
At the time, police said: “The road is reported to be slippy in the area.
“Please slow down between the Hole of Horcum and Pickering, consider leaving a further gap between you and the vehicle ahead and prepare to stop.
“Delays are expected, please add more time to your journey.”
Both crashes have been cleared and traffic is running freely again. We have no reports of any casualties.
