A gang with knives chased people down a quiet York street in broad daylight.
The incident happened on Evelyn Crescent, Clifton, on Sunday (21 June) at about 6pm.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
A group of men in their twenties with bladed articles were seen chasing after some other people.
Two men have been arrested in relation to the incident and they have been bailed pending further enquiries.
We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, they are appealing for information about the men involved and the items they were carrying.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
