A celebrity auctioneer will be in York next week for a special charity event.
Derek Matthewson from TV show Bangers and Cash is coming to the city to announce the date of an auction selling off the Snooks.
Each one of the 21 ‘friendly monsters’ that have been part of the Snooks trail this spring will go under the hammer.
People can bid for the unique 4ft 6in tall sculptures and raise money for St Leonard’s Hospice and the York Creates Fund.
Next Thursday (4 April) Derek will be driving his Bentley around the Snook trail to highlight the forthcoming auction.
He said: “I’ve auctioned off many things in my time, but never anything like this before!
