It’s not every day that a millionaire TV star flies halfway across the country to pop into your café.
But that’s exactly what happened as Lord Sugar and some friends called in to The Motorist at Sherburn in Elmet.
The businessman and host of BBC hit The Apprentice had flown into Sherburn Airfield with his three companions.
They then visited The Arnage, the restaurant at The Motorist, the destination dedicated to all things car related.
His arrival, on 25 May, caused quite a stir as diners and staff immediately recognised the prestigious guest.
After lunching with his friends, Lord Sugar and friends were given a tour of the venue by sales manager Amy Moss.
She said Lord Sugar was keen to hear all about the activities at the venue, including the car meets hosted there that can entice up to 700 cars.
He also promised to return for Coffee and Cars on a Sunday, featuring a Sunday roast.

Lord Sugar then looked round The Store, where he was particularly interested in the gin selection on offer, and met with garage and bodyshop staff.
Being a car enthusiast he said he was impressed with the restoration and repair work that the classic car workshop specialises in.
Sales manager Amy Moss said: “It’s not every day that The Motorist welcomes a Lord and British business magnate onsite, but we were delighted to have such prestigious company in our midst and even more thrilled to get the opportunity to show Lord Sugar the whole venue and introduce him to our unique destination for discerning car enthusiasts.
“He was very interested in everything we do onsite and promised to return as it is such a short flight away from his home.”
After posing for photos with some members of the team, he then headed to Sherburn Airfield take his flight back to London.
