Are your kids up for adventure? Then they could be the stars of a new TV series.
Shine TV, the production company behind series include Masterchef and The Island with Bear Grylls, is working on a new show.
The programme, working title Kids’ Challenge, will “enable children to demonstrate their natural capabilities, independence and resourcefulness, that we often overlook,” said Shine TV producer Kerry Plant.
“We are looking to talk to families in the York area, with two or three children aged between 7-11, who might be keen for a travel challenge that will take place over two days in the May half term,” Kerry told YorkMix.
“We hope to find confident, curious, tenacious kids who can make decisions on their own terms and who might enjoy a travel adventure.”
Challenge of their lives
Any filming would involve a fully licensed chaperone and professional film crew. The siblings would embark on an adventure which would be “the challenge of their lives”.
But for this location shoot, they won’t need their passports.
Although Kerry wasn’t in a position to reveal which TV channel they were working for she said “it is one of the main broadcasters.
“It is a pilot so if it goes well we will then make the series.”
