A charity concert is set to celebrate the life and legacy of a York musician.
Josh Adamson was the bass player for the York bands theFALLEN and The Family Ruin, and sadly passed away last year.
In a special reunion show at The Crescent, The Family Ruin and fellow metal band With One Last Breath will get together for two nights of performances in memory of their beloved band member and friend.
The first show will take place on Friday 19 September – but after completely selling out in four hours, the venue announced a second show on Sunday 21 September. Tickets are £10 and available here.
All profits will be donated to Menfulness, a charity that supports men’s mental health and wellbeing.
The concert is described as a “real send off from the band” for Josh who would “have done anything to be there”.

The Family Ruin also commented on their social media that they’ll be “pulling out all the stops, diving into the back catalogue and performing a huge set of tunes”.
Josh was a pillar of the rock and metal community, and the special concerts are set to be a powerful tribute to his legacy.
Fellow musician Joe Lancaster said on Instagram: “Josh’s passing in 2024 left a lasting impact on the rock and metal community, but his passion and influence will never fade.”
