It will take place at disused pub the Buckles Inn on the A64.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We’re carrying out a training exercise on the morning of Sunday 9 February at The Buckles Inn between Tadcaster and York.

“Synthetic smoke will be used as part of the exercise and there will be a number of emergency service vehicles there between 9am and noon.”

North Yorkshire Police added: “If you are travelling on the A64 today (Sunday 9th February) between the hours of 9am and 12pm and see smoke coming from The Buckles Inn, then please don’t be alarmed as it’s part of a training exercise that our colleagues from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are conducting.”
