There are more strikes affecting North Yorkshire’s rail routes again this week.
There will be disruption on Thursday 18th and Saturday 20th August.
Some stations like Malton and Selby will be shut, others will see a much reduced timetable in operation. Northern, which operates local services, says do not try to travel.
Here is your guide to what is going with each train service provider.
LNER for London Scotland and the North East, serving York and Northallerton.
Reduced service on strike days and some disruption on either side of them too. Trains to destinations off the main line won’t run (Skipton, Lincoln, Selby)
Northern for local trains to York, Selby, Harrogate and Sherburn-in-Elmet
They say “RMT and TSSA unions have called for industrial action on Thursday 18 and Saturday 20 August. We are advising Northern customers NOT TO TRAVEL on these days.
“Due to industrial action, there will be very limited services running on the rail network. Only travel by rail if necessary and if you do travel, expect severe disruption and plan ahead. We advise customers to check their entire journey.”
