Three men arrested following police pursuit in York
Three men have been arrested after police spotted a car acting suspiciously early this morning (Tuesday).
At 12.30am, officers were on patrol in the Rawcliffe area of York. “The ‘copper’s nose’ was activated when officers sighted a silver-coloured Vauxhall Astra acting suspiciously,” a North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.
Police officers attempted to stop the Astra. However the suspects drove off and were pursued for a short time.
The car was brought to a stop on Foss Islands Road. Police uncovered a number of power tools inside.
Three men aged in their 20s were arrested in connection with this incident. The men have since been released under investigation.
