Firefighters tackled a blaze at a Malton commercial building last night (Friday).
Both Malton crews and and a crew from Helmsley were called to the property on Beverley Road at 8.26pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews gained access using small tools and entered the building using breathing apparatus equipment.
“The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and one main jet.
“Crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the building for a fire investigation officer to conclude that the cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
“The incident was left in the hands of a responsible person on site.”
