On Friday 19 August, the iconic Ibiza brand Café Mambo are bringing a slice of the white isle to Castle Howard for a festival-like experience of music.

The annual Castle Howard Proms will take place on Saturday 20 August and promises a spectacular classical concert from The London Gala Orchestra – and chart-topping opera star and BBC Radio Wales presenter, Wynne Evans and Broadway and West End star, Marisha Wallace.
Audiences can sing along to popular Prom classics, songs from musicals and flag-waving favourites such as ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Rule Britannia’, and ‘Pomp and Circumstance No.1’.
Conducted by Stephen Bell, this family-friendly evening will also see a flyover from a rare WW2 Spitfire and laser displays.
The firework display has been cancelled due to the ongoing prolonged drought and extremely dry ground conditions – as the risk of a spent firework igniting a fire is too great.
Closing out the weekend on Sunday 21 August is crowd-pleasers Abba Symphonic.
Star performers from the West End production of Mamma Mia! including Rob Fowler and Sharon Sexton, will take to the stage, backed by a full rock band and Heart of England Orchestra.
Arranged and conducted by the Grammy award winner, Steve Sidwell, ABBA Symphonic is a concert of the band’s greatest hits – featuring 25 much-loved tracks including ‘Waterloo’, ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’ and ‘SOS’, delivered on an epic scale.
This event also welcomes visitors to bring a picnic.
Tickets for all three concerts are available via the Castle Howard website. Buying in advance is advised as ticket prices will increase on the door.
Advance tickets are priced at (plus booking fees): Café Mambo Ibiza £38.50, Castle Howard Proms £45 (adult) / £5 (child) and ABBA Symphonic £34 (adult) / £10 (child).
