Thieves raided a farm in a village near Selby – then punched the occupant when he disturbed them.
It happened at around 2am on Thursday (2 May) at a farm in Gateforth.
The raiders stole an orange Kubota off-road buggy, registration YN58 AKV.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The suspects also attempted to steal a number of tools but were disturbed by the occupant, who they then assaulted by punching him to the face.
“Today we’ve released images of the stolen buggy and are urging anyone who has seen it to get in touch.”
They are also appealing for information, and any doorbell video, private CCTV or dashcam footage, of:
- sightings of an orange Kubota vehicle
- suspicious people seen in the area at the time or in the lead up to the incident
- sightings of people wearing caps and scarves covering their faces and wearing dark clothing.
