Police are letting people know that they will be out in force in one area of York today (Monday).
They are taking part in a training exercise at York St John University’s Lord Mayor’s Walk campus.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Along with a number of our partner agencies, we are today running a training exercise on the Lord Mayor’s Walk campus of York St John University.
“The exercise will run from 9am – 12pm and there will be a significant emergency services presence in the area.
“We regularly run training exercises like this to test our emergency response and make sure we’re always ready for anything.”
