Thousands of fun-runners and fundraisers are expected to expected to take on the York 10k – as the popular charity race returns this weekend.
Organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, the scenic route will explore some of the city’s most historic landmarks, such as the city walls, Clifford’s Tower and York Minster.
YorkMix Radio are once again media partners for the event, and breakfast show host Laura Castle will be there broadcasting live from the start and finish line – and of course giving lots of encouragement!
York 10k will take place on Sunday 6 August. It will start and finish on Knavesmire, close to York Racecourse.
The race will start at 9.30am, with the route encompassing some of York’s most iconic streets like Bishy Road, Coney Street and Goodramgate.
The winner is expected to finish at approximately 10am.
