The latest winner of ITV’s The Voice is making a special appearance at the YorkMix Hero Awards.
It was announced exclusively on YorkMix Radio Breakfast Show this week.
“We have an act coming to the Hero Awards that has found fame overnight,” said presenter Laura Castle, as she revealed it is none other than The Voice Winner 2022 Anthonia Edwards.
“One of her first gigs after winning The Voice is the YorkMix Hero Awards.”
The YorkMix Hero Awards takes place at the Principal York on Thursday 10 November.
Anthonia, a 25-year-old nurse from Blackheath, London, won the eleventh series of The Voice over the weekend.
She was mentored by Sir Tom Jones on the show, and performed the song It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World by James Brown with him in the final. Some of her other performances included When the Party’s Over by Billie Eilish and Praying by Kesha.
Anthonia’s winning single is a cover of Anyone by Justin Bieber – which she’s expected to perform at the Hero Awards.
The YorkMix Hero Awards are once again teaming up with Yorkshire Profiles to say thank you to those who have gone above and beyond.
The shortlisted nominees have now been announced, and you can vote now for The People’s Choice Award for both Charitable Person of the Year and Charity Event of the Year.
