A power cut that threatened tonight’s show at York Barbican is over.
And that means the performance, featuring comedy and music with the Horne Section, can go ahead as planned.
A spokesman for the Barbican said the venue “did lose power for a really short period of time” but it was restored in time to keep the show on the road.
The power cut, which affected more than 500 properties in the YO1, YO10, YO3 and YO31 postcodes, was first reported at 4.25pm.
Northern Powergrid engineers worked on the problem and restored electricity by 7.06pm.
The Horne Section, featuring Alex Horne, the creator and co-host of comedy hit Taskmaster, was set to start at 8pm.
