The ‘queen of British soul’ is coming to the North Yorkshire coast!
It’s been revealed that Beverly Knight will be joining Gary Barlow for his 2025 UK tour – which includes a headline show in Scarborough.
It was previously announced that Gary Barlow would be bringing his new Songbook Tour to Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Friday 13 June.
The Songbook Tour 2025 is set to be a huge celebration of Gary’s illustrious four-decade-spanning career and will see him perform an array of songs from his much-celebrated back catalogue of hits with both Take That and as a solo artist.
Gary will be joined on the night by very special guest and national treasure Beverley Knight.
Beverley Knight is an Olivier award-winning actress of the West End, and has starred in musicals such as The Bodyguard, Memphis the Musical, Cats and Sister Act.
She’s also a singer with a prolific music career – and has released several top 10 albums and sold more than a million albums in the UK. In 2007, Beverley was awarded an MBE for services to British music and charity. Her other accolades include three MOBO awards and multi-nominee for the Brit Awards.
Beverley’s headline tour ‘50’ last year marked the release of her ninth studio album ‘The Fifth Chapter’ and was her biggest ever tour of the UK – including a sold-out Royal Albert Hall.
The musical star is a long-time friend of Gary Barlow, having joined Take That as their special guest for the band’s first UK Tour after reforming in 2006.
Tickets for The Songbook Tour are still available via Ticketmaster or the Scarborough Open Air Theatre website.
