Two teenagers have been arrested in Selby after trying to flee from police.
It happened as officers were making routine enquiries at a property on Volta Street in the town yesterday morning (Sunday).
As they went inside, two young people ran out. They didn’t get far as police detained them soon afterwards.

A search of the address found a lock knife, a knuckle duster and a quantity of brown wraps suspected to contain a class A drug.
A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, who are both from the West Midlands area, were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.
Both men were later released with bail conditions which prevent them from entering North Yorkshire.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are committed to tackling the use and supply of illegal drugs in our local communities. Concerned about drugs in your area? Contact your local team by calling us on 101.”
