Two York teenagers have been attacked in what police are classing as a hate crime.
It happened on Acomb Green at around 9pm on Sunday 24 April. Both victims are 17 years old.
One of them suffered permanent damage to her teeth due to the assault.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and released on police bail. A further male has been interviewed and released under investigation.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This is being treated as a hate related incident and we are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding it.
“In particular, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident and filmed it on their mobile phone to come forward.”
