Two teenagers have been arrested by undercover police.
Last week officers received a report that a motorbike had been stolen from the garden of a house in the Chapelfields area of York.
Today (Friday) the Force Control Room was told the motorbike was active in the Boroughbridge area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Several marked and unmarked resources were sent to look for it.
“A short time later the stolen motorbike was sighted by one of our officers who was riding our unmarked Kawasaki Ninja H2.
“Roads policing officers pre-emptively boxed the bike in and the two occupants were arrested.”
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and driving without a license or insurance.
Both currently remain in police custody.
