Two teenagers have been arrested by police on suspicion of drug dealing.
Officers from the York West Outer Neighbourhood Policing Team have increased their patrols in the Foxwood area following information passed on by residents about drugs in the area.
Shortly before 11pm on Thursday 29 June, police stopped a vehicle which was acting suspiciously.
Inside they discovered a backpack containing what are suspected to be class B drugs, alongside small plastic bags and a set of scales.
A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug.
They were both interviewed and later released under investigation.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “If you have any concerns regarding drugs in your area, we would like to hear about them.
“You can contact us via 101, using the online reporting tool or by contacting a member of your local neighbourhood team. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
