Police stepped in after ‘unacceptable’ behaviour in York this afternoon (Sunday).
Officers responded to reports of a fight on Low Petergate shortly after 4.15pm.
Four teenagers – one male, three female – have been arrested, on suspicion of offences including affray and assault.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “They are currently being taken into custody.
“Such incidents in our city are rare, and completely unacceptable.
“Thank you to the members of the public in the area who alerted us, so we could respond decisively.”
The street was busy at the time, and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, especially anyone who filmed the incident.
