Teenager arrested after man threatened with knife near York school
A young man ‘pulled a knife’ on another during an argument near a York school.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the altercation which involved two men at the rear of St Peter’s School, Clifton.
It happened between 5.45pm and 6.15pm on Wednesday (24 March) “and involved two male teenagers having a verbal altercation, during which one of the males appeared to be in possession of a knife and threatening the other male,” said a North Yorkshire Police spokesman.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information about how the altercation started and who instigated the altercation.”
An 18 year old man was arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
