A teenage boy has been arrested after Police received reports of an assault in Snaith yesterday (Tuesday 26 December).
It is believed at around 6.30pm that a man was assaulted on Market Place after an earlier altercation.
Officers were deployed and a 17-year-old boy was arrested short time later on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and racially aggravated provocation of violence.
The victim suffered injuries that are thought to be serious but not life threatening.
