Bonmarché is now open in York!
The fashion retailer opened its doors this morning (Thursday) at 9:30am, ready to welcome in a queue of eager customers who were waiting to shop away.
The ribbon was cut by the Lord Mayor of York Cllr Margaret Wells and was declared open by York Town Crier, Ben Fry.
Once the doors were open, the shop floor came to life with customers browsing and making purchases.
There were also a couple of special offers for opening day. The first 30 purchasing customers received a Bonmarché goody bag, and the first 100 customers in the store were in with the chance of winning free prizes and discounts through a lucky dip.
The store will stock the latest trends in sizes 10-28, providing ‘inspirational fashion for real women’. Collections available include the Lorraine Loves Edit; curated by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly.
It’s a comeback in York for the high street shop, as it had a location on Goodramgate until it closed in June 2022.
Bonmarché is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5:30pm, and from 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
