A tasty new bakery has opened up in York.
Heppni Bakeri, a new artisan bakery and speciality coffee shop, has opened on Swinegate and is serving up an array of flaky delights.
The bakery is owned by India Luck, who is also the head baker.

The new bakery at 14 Swinegate was previously home to the independent ladieswear retailer Giselle.
Though the bakery only opened for the first time at the weekend, inside it’s already a hub of activity with everyone of all ages enjoying a tasty pastry. There is seating outside – if you can find a spare seat! – and it also offers takeaway.
At the back of the bakery there is a window where you can see into the kitchen and watch the magic happen as fresh pastries get made.
The treats on offer include your classic croissants and pain au chocolats, as well as sweet delights like an almond and orange marmalade croissant (£4.50), and chocolate and espresso pain suisse (£4.80) or savoury options like a Nduja, cheddar and hot honey swirl (£4.50). There are non-pastry offerings too like banana load (£3.50) or baby Guinness cake (£4).
There is also a selection of hot, iced and cold drinks available too.
Heppni Bakery is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 7am to 4pm.
Keep up to date with the bakery via their Instagram page here.
