A Tadcaster man accused of murder has denied the charge and will now face trial by jury.
Taylor Fenwick, 22, appeared at Leeds Crown Court today when he pleaded not guilty to murdering Luke Miller during an incident at a flat in Rosemary Court, Tadcaster, on Boxing Day morning last year.
It’s understood that Luke died from a single stab wound to the chest.
Police and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service arrived at the scene at about 7.20am following reports that a man had been found with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Mr Fenwick, of Rosemary Court, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder.
Judge Guy Kearl KC adjourned the case for a trial on 24 June. It is expected to last five days. Mr Fenwick was remanded in custody.
