Storm Debi may have blown out of town, but her impact is still being felt in North Yorkshire.
Tadcaster Bridge has closed to traffic this afternoon (Tuesday, 14 November) as the River Wharfe continues to rise.
It is still open to pedestrians.
Kirsty Poskitt, the independent councillor for Tadcaster on North Yorkshire Council, issued an update this afternoon.
“Due to increasing river levels upstream, Tadcaster Bridge will close this afternoon,” she wrote.
“Whilst the levels are dropping in the town, there has been a rise upstream that is yet to reach us.
“The bridge will close imminently, and I will keep everyone updated as to when it will reopen.”
She said she would ask more questions about the closure when she goes to at County Hall tomorrow.
