SuBo sets sail for York: Susan Boyle to play Barbican
Singing sensation Susan Boyle will play the York Barbican in March 2014 as part of her latest world conquering tour.
SuBo will perform I Dreamed A Dream, the song that shot her to global stardom via Britain’s Got Talent and YouTube, as well as Wild Horses, Somewhere Over The Rainbow and one of her all-time favourites River Deep, Mountain High.
Promoters say the York audience is also in for some surprises, with Boyle interpreting “iconic album tracks and never heard before classics that will captivate and enthral”.
The singer will perform in York on Sunday, March 23, 2014. Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, November 15, from 10am, priced from £37.50.
Her appearance comes soon after her first movie role in The Christmas Candle. She is about to release her fifth album in four years, Home For Christmas as well as becoming the first Brit to be allowed to duet with Elvis posthumously.
Boyle has also joined forces with Save The Children to release a Christmas fundraising single, and recently enjoyed a sell-out Scottish tour.
“I’ve always wanted to do my own show and after the reception I received in Scotland I can not wait to get back on stage,” she said.
“I’ve chosen some of my favourite songs from past albums and also new songs that not only have I wanted to perform for years but resonate with me and I hope my fans will love.”
This exclusive UK tour heralds a new era in her successful career. Susan’s show is set to be the hot ticket of the spring, showcasing the voice the world fell in love with.
Boyle has come a long way from the Britain’s Got Talent stage in 2009.
