It may have been tough going on the ground – but the cold snap looks simply stunning from the air.
These remarkable images of York in the snow were captured by drone aerial photography and video production company Sky Filming.
Based in York, they have been working for TV, engineering firms and construction companies since 2010.
These pictures were captured by the team on Thursday (March 1) and show the rooftops, parks and gardens of the city centre blanketed in white.
One panoramic shot shows a cityscape from Rougier Street across to Museum Gardens. You can see the cleared paths snaking their way through the park.
Pictures as special as these are worth suffering a few chilly mornings for.
