A tree that came down on a York road during Storm Babet has now been cleared.
The tree was across Strensall Road, near the junction with Towthorpe Road.
It came down early this morning, and City of York Council posted on X: “Please avoid the area if possible and plan an alternative route.”
But at 11.30am, the council issued an update to say Strensall Road had reopened.
A power outage affecting Strensall and Huntington has also been fixed.
However, there are ongoing power cuts in the Aldwark, Little Ouseburn, Great Ouseburn and Thorpe Underwood areas affecting 370 properties.
Northern Powergrid is hoping electricity will be restored by 12.15pm.
Another tree that was down near Husthwaite on The Nookin has now been cleared.
More updates as they come in.
