OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity offers support and care for children facing brain tumours and their families, to raise awareness of children’s brain tumours and to fund new research to drive down diagnosis time, increase survival rate and improve children’s quality of life during and after treatment.
It was set up in memory of Oscar Hughes from York who died aged nine of a brain tumour.
The Bradley Lowery Foundation was established in August 2017 after six year old Bradley Lowery lost his fight to neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer.
It supports families who are fundraising for treatment or equipment, which is not readily available or covered by the NHS. This includes all illnesses and conditions.
The foundation also: supports research into neuroblastoma and childhood cancers. We are also developing plans to support a £600,000 holiday home in Scarborough.
