Young actor Evie Grant has landed a dream part – joining the cast of Emmerdale.
Evie, five, has been cast in the long-running soap after impressing ITV bosses at an audition.
She’ll begin filming next month.
The youngster honed her acting skills at the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA), which runs every Saturday morning at Huntington School, York.
Evie’s mum Jean Grant said:
It’s been quite an experience and she’s enjoyed every minute of it.
Evie can’t wait for filming to begin!

She landed her TV role through PQA’s agency, Quirky Kidz Creative Management.
Previously Quirky Kidz has secured roles for young performers in EastEnders and West End shows including Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Les Miserables and Matilda.
James Aconley, principal of PQA York, said:
This is a lovely opportunity and Evie really deserves it.
We’re delighted to be able to offer experiences like this for our students.
Evie’s role is being kept under wraps.
“She’ll be filming later this month but I don’t know any further details or what part she has. ITV won’t disclose the info to us!” James said.
