Star of The Hobbit films, Richard Armitage, is coming to York next month for a special event.
The actor, and now author, will be discussing his debut novel ‘Geneva’ – a crime thriller that follows a Nobel Prize-winning scientist with the initial onset of Alzheimer’s disease into a world of conspiracy and conflicted loyalties, where her closest friend could prove to be her deadliest foe…
An Evening with Richard Armitage is at St Peter’s School on Tuesday 10 September 2024.
The event is organised by Fox Lane Books in partnership with St Peter’s School and York Literature Festival.
The evening of conversation will also feature an opportunity for the audience to ask questions, a book-signing for paperback editions of ‘Geneva’, and the chance to meet and chat with Richard over snacks and refreshments.
Richard is known for numerous film and television roles, such as Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit film franchise, starring in several of Netflix’s adaptations of Harlan Coben thrillers like The Stranger and Fool Me Once, and appearances in North and South, Into the Storm, The Vicar of Dibley and Spooks.
Tickets for the event start from £5 and are available via Ticket Tailor.
