The Met Office has issued a weather warning for snow covering much of England, including York and North Yorkshire.
The yellow warning runs from midday on Saturday (4 January) to 9am on Monday (6 January).
It includes almost all of North Yorkshire, with the exception of the coastline.
The warning says : “Heavy snow may cause some disruption over the weekend.”
The Met Office said there is a small chance of power cuts and mobile phone coverage being affected, while there could also be delays and cancellations to flights and trains.
It comes after a yellow weather warning for ice covering all of York and North Yorkshire, running from 4pm today (New Year’s Day) to 10am tomorrow.
Temperatures in York are set to drop to -3°C tomorrow and Friday.
And there are a number of flood alerts also to be aware of.
