Snow and ice is causing problems on roads in some parts of North Yorkshire this morning (Wednesday).
The weather closed the A169 at White Way Heads / Saltergate Moor near to RAF Fylingdales late last night.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The road closure is expected to be in place overnight.
“Motorists who are travelling between Pickering and Whitby should use an alternative route.”
Meanwhile, there’s a report of black ice on the A171 between Whitby and Scarborough.
The AA said: “Approach with care. A jacknifed lorry was reported in the earlier hours, awaiting any updates.”
York and Selby are clear of snow.
However, there is snow and ice elsewhere in the county. These are photos from the North Yorkshire Council webcams at about 7.15am.
