Shambles Market
York is lucky enough to have a vibrant, bustling market right in the city centre – and it has some incredible food options!
To name just a few, there’s gourmet burgers and loaded fries from The Taylor Made Kitchen, sweet and savoury crepes from Krep and delicious Thai food from Thai Season.

Thor’s
Thor’s is back for the summer! And it brings with it some amazing street food.
On Parliament Street choose from Asian inspired dishes from Yuzu Street Food, seafood from Millers Fish & Chips, or the iconic Yorky pud wrap from The York Roast Co.
Over at the Principal Hotel Gardens there’s Frango Eduardo with Portuguese cuisine.

Yuzu Street Food in Brew York
Located inside Brew York on Walmgate, Yuzu Street Food has a variety of Japanese and Asian inspired dishes to try from katsu curry to bao buns, wings to ramen.

Meow and Bao
Meow on Goodramgate and its sister shop Bao on the Shambles, specialises in Asian street food like bubble waffles, bao buns and gyoza.
The bubble waffles are a delicious summertime – or anytime – snack, and can be filled with ice cream or whipped cream and your choice of toppings.
The sweet bao buns served on the Shambles are often decorated to look like cute animals, and has fillings like custard, Biscoff or chocolate.

Döner Summer
Serving up 100% plant based junk food, Döner Summer is the place to try for vegan street food.
There’s teller trays, kebabs, fried chick’n and more to choose from – not forgetting their potato tots. The food is as fun and delicious as it looks, and bound to put a smile on your face.
Döner Summer have also opened up a unit in Shambles Market, specifically for tacos – yum!
