Singing star calls off Grand Opera House show due to illness

Singing star Elkie Brooks has been forced to postpone her York show.
The singer of hits including Pearl’s a Singer and Sunshine After the Rain is unwell and can’t make the performance at the Grand Opera House tomorrow (Thursday, July 20).
She has a chest infection and “regretfully under strict doctor’s orders she will not be able to perform at the Grand Opera House on Thursday”.
But she has set a new date for the show.
A statement released on behalf of the artist said:
Thankfully the Grand Opera House have agreed to reschedule this event to Monday 4th December 2017, and Elkie looks forward to playing for you then.
