Fashion brand Mint Velvet is preparing to open its York store – and it will be the firm’s biggest shop to date.
The store opens on Low Petergate this Thursday (July 10). It is found in the premises formerly occupied by the Sarah Coggles clothes shop.
Set over two floors it comes with a personal shopper suite, a coffee stop off point and a patio space outside “so our customers can really enjoy the relaxed glamour shopping experience”, said a spokeswoman.
Twelve people will be employed at the branch.
Starting at founder Liz Houghton’s kitchen table, Mint Velvet is now a much sought after fashion brand, offering “a relaxed glamour take on the current trends”.
The new boutique in York is Mint Velvet’s 22nd solus store adding to their existing 80 plus concessions in department stores – including the recently-opened John Lewis at the Vangarde Shopping Park in the city.
“Mint Velvet believes that fashion should be fun, that luxury should be affordable, and that looking gorgeous needn’t be difficult,” said the spokeswoman.
We’ll soon be able to judge for ourselves.
