A shop worker was hurt when a robber armed with a knife raided a York store.
It happened at the Co-op on Beckfield Lane, Acomb, at about 9.20pm on Friday (20 May).
A man entered the shop and ordered a member of staff to give him money from the till.
He left the store with a small amount of cash and some cigarettes.
A member of staff suffered a cut to her hand during the incident.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to locate the suspect.
“Anyone who was in the store on Friday night and has not yet spoken to the police is asked to get in touch.”
One witness, who lives close to the shop, told YorkMix there was a major police response to the robbery: “There were armed police and dogs outside my garden.”
