Shed Seven have followed their triumphant first single in years with a video that takes you right back to their glory years.
The film for Room In My House was released tonight, and it’s buzzing with the energy which made the York band such a compelling act in the Britpop days.
Littered with references to some of their earlier highlights, the video centres round a live performance by the band.
It also features some of the band’s family, including Duke Witter, son of frontman Rick, and Jeanie Leach, daughter of drummer Alan.
Nostalgic Easter eggs

The band said on Facebook:
It was made by York video production company Digifish. Songwriter and guitarist Paul Banks is also the creative director of Digifish, and they let us see some behind the scenes photos of the band at work on the album earlier this year.
There’s lots of love for the video. Laura Cross wrote: “Epic stuff! Love the wee nods to the old videos! Really worth all the wait for this!”
And Catherine Kiddell said: “I have goosebumps and a strange feeling in my stomach from watching it, a mix of nostalgia and excitement at you being back and us finally getting new music from you.”
